Wind Turbine with a style
Most of us by now are familiar with usage of wind turbine that utilizes wind power to generate electricity and most of them look the same where you have the propeller that moves with the force of wind and in turn creates electricity or it save this generated electricity to a connected grid for later use. I saw one recently where the artistic shape of this wind turbine immediately caught my eyes and I asked myself is there anything into creating it in this form so I looked up into the company that actually manufactures it here in Japan by the name of Loopwing which by the way the company’s product bears the same name. The company developed this product with a proprietary fluid dynamics. The company claims the conventional wind turbine carries a lot of noise pollution which is generated by the tip of its blade. Unlike the conventional model the Loopwing being tip less does not generate any noise. Loopwing is also safe in the event there is a strong gust of wind since it is equipped with 3 to 4 fail over safety mechanism that do not rely on any electrical control. All these mechanisms run independently so if one fails the other system will ensure that the whole system is operational. In addition to all this Loopwing has a very low vibration since each blade and axis of Loopwing is connected at either ends.Part of this design reminds me the mobius strip. I did not hear a noise from this system during its operation and it is a nice small size. The company manufactures two products based on the Loopwing technology one by the name of TRONC and the other is called u2850. This is designed for various environments whether is a residential areas or remote locations. TRONC will act as an independent power supply unit by combining hybrid generation system of a PV panel and Loopwing. This is a perfect solution for lighting street lights to telecommunication devices. The u2850 is made for salty and dusty environment, It can withstand and operates in an environment as low as -40 degrees Celsius. The system is equipped with Anemo sensors.This is a relatively a young company and new in this industry but with a very cool product and good future. I am sure we will see a lot of good new products from them in a near future. I wonder if this will free us from all our electric bills.
