Eneloop solar light by Sanyo
For those of you who are not familiar with eneloop a short description wont hurt. Eneloop is a rechargeable battery that can be used like alkaline batteries. It is considered to be the next generation of rechargeable battery technology. Eneloop was developed based on environmentally and economically conscious initiatives by Sanyo all the way from packaging to design of the battery itself. It can be used immediately after purchase and it is equivalent to 1000 alkaline batteries. Based on this technology Sanyo recently announced a series of products one being the “eneloop solar light”. This product is your ideal lighting gadget to be used for leisure time as well as at a time of emergency due to blackout by various reasons. It is equipped with high efficient “HIT (Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin-layer) solar battery”. It saves solar energy into a built-in re-chargeable battery. Besides being a light, it can also be used as a charger through its USB socket given that your electronic devices to be charged have the USB connection. The product comes with two types of LED lights for multipurpose use which are Panel Light type and Beam Light type. 
Basically, Panel Light type can be used as a room light although hooks and nails are not provided as the picture suggests you can come up with your own personalized design chandelier. The Beam Light type can be used as a flash light. Depending on your preference on brightness and amount of time in usage its brightness can be controlled by selecting the brightness from three different modes which are all light up, 5 light up and one light up depending on the occasion. It also comes with emergency signal function that will make it to flash all its lights in event of emergency. This product has gone on sale in Japan on Oct. 10th.
