TransferJet technology equipped au mobile phone
KDDI gave a demonstration of Close Proximity Wireless Transfer technology “Transfer Jet” which can transfer data at very high-speed with very simple operation. “Transfer Jet” was developed by SONY and enables a high speed data transmission rate of 560Mbps, while eliminating the need for complex setup and operation. By directly touching two compliant electronic products together allows files to be transferred automatically, without any needs for an access point. For instance, touching a TV with a digital camera enables photos to be instantaneously displayed on the TV screen. Alternatively, downloaded music content can be easily enjoyed by touching a mobile phone to a portable audio player. “Transfer Jet” can be used as a universal interface across all consumer electronics devices. In this demonstration KDDI performed downloading 4M byte of music content in around 2 seconds by just touching a mobile phone onto a device. The Transferjet has been established as consortiums of a group of international companies among them are Eastman Kodak Company, SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD, where Sony Corporation is acting as consortium administrator.
