Casio Exilim EX-FC100 and EX-FS10

It has certainly been a long road for Casio since the introduction of QV-10 digital camera back in 1995. The EX-FC100 and EX-FS10 provide an overall improvement in picture quality and speed with added lightness and slimness inspired by today’s consumer demand for digital cameras. The EX-FC100 measures only 99.8mmx58.5mmx22.6mm. It offers a 5X optical zoom lens plus a CMOS shift anti shake functionality. It features a 2.7 inch high quality super clear LCD. With its high speed capability user can enjoy a 9.1 mega pixel resolution. But this not really what EX-FC100 is all about, the EX-FC100 can take up to 30 shots per second of 6.0 mega pixel of still images and that is not all it hold up to 25 frames just before the moment that you press the shutter button, a very handy feature indeed for those who tend to miss that special moment by pressing the shutter a bit late. The EX-FC100 gives the freedom on setting the number of shots to its users by allowing the shots per second to be set at 3, 5,10,15,30 or set to automatic mode. The same capability can be extended to the total number of shots in one burst which can be set at 5, 10, 20 or 30. The EX-FC100 has the ability of combining all the shots that you have taken in one burst into a single image. Finally the EX-FC100 comes with a high speed movie functions. The EX-FS10 thinner version of EX-FC100 measures only 97.1mm×59.4mm×16.3mm comes with a newly developed 3X optical inner-zoom lens and a 2.5-inch high-performance Super Clear LCD. The EX-FS10 comes with same features as EX-FC100 with a 30fps burst mode capability and 1000 fps movie mode for slow motion playback functionality. But the on board sensor and lens in this camera is not at par even with the end of the line DSLR. Casio did not provide much information in regard to their EXILIM STATION where supposedly the user can connect their EXILIM cameras to TV to enjoy high speed movie or pictures. Through the EXILIM STATION the user is able to connect to a printer and HDD and via its HDMI port.
