Panasonic’s summer model mobile note PC “Let’s note”
Panasonic unveiled its new 2009 summer model mobile note PC “Let’s note”. They comprise of “F8 series CF-F8”, “W8 series CF-W8”, “T8 series CF-T8” and “R8 series CF-R8”. All models are equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 (1.4GHz), 160GB HDD and 4GB main memory except for “CF-F8” which comes with 3GB main memory. As for the display, “CF-F8” has 14.1″ WXGA type (TFT) 1280 x 800 dots, “CF-W8” and “CF-T8” has 12.1″ WXGA type (TFT) 1024×768 dots, CF-R8” has 10.4″ WXGA type (TFT) 1024×768 dots. The “CF-F8” and “CF-W8” are the only models that come with built-in super multi-drive. In terms of operating time with battery pack, “CF-F8” operates about 10 hours, “CF-W8”, “CF-T8” operates about 11 hours and “CF-R8” capable of operating for about 8 hours. All models passed a 76 cm free fall test, a 100-kgf pressurized vibration test and has spill resistance keyboard like the conventional models. Additionally, consumers are able to order for the scale up premium addition which comes with SSD, 64 bits OS and to top it off with a leader top exclusively at Panasonic’s direct online shopping site “My Let’s Club”. All four models will hit the market form May 22nd, 2009. The suggested retail price for the CF-F8 series is about 240000 yen (without MS Office), CF-W8 series is about 210000 yen (without MS Office), CF-T8 series is about 200000 yen (without MS Office) and CF-R8 series is about 190000 yen (without MS Office). With the falling price of PCs, the prices of these new Panasonic series are really tough to swallow where you can purchase comparably some decent PCs with much less burden on your pocket.
