Disaster monitoring system through a small unmanned airplane by NEC

NEC announced a Disaster monitoring system by the small unmanned airplane.
This new system has two components which are the small unmanned airplane and a ground system. The small unmanned airplane which has 1.9 m wing is equipped with camera, a sensor and communication unit and the ground system is capable of setting flight route?and receiving and analyzing information from the plane. For data transmission, NEC uses “small and light transmission module” which was originally developed by NEC and it enables to transmit image and flight data simultaneously. Furthermore, the communication unit does not require a wireless license for its operation due to radio modules compliance with technical standard, a rather vague statement by NEC.
