Supersol an artificial light porous foamed material
Here is a wonderful Eco friendly product developed by a Japanese company TRIM CO. LTD out of Okinawa ,Japan. The company has come up with a new way of dealing with recyclable glasses. The company turns the recycled glass into a Supersol by first crushing it then backing it and finally turning it into a light porous foamed material. The Supersol depending on its specific gravity can be used in multitudes of applications such as greening, insulation, horticulture, water purification as well as in architecture and civil engineering. Supersol features high water permeability and retentively as well as air permeability making it an ideal product to promote plant growth. Supersol can be made to have different characteristics to fit different application by simply changing the types of add-in materials, milling conditions and backing conditions. Among other features of Supersol is its fire-resistance characteristics plus it is chemically stable and does not corrode and being made from glass making Supersol an environmentally friendly product.
