Introduction of three new Compact Digital Camera by Olympus
Olympus has introduced three new additions to its line of compact digital camera. The first in this line up is the µ 7020 series followed by FE-4000 and FE-46. The µ 7020 series features a stylish design incorporating a 7x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide-angle shooting capability plus a 3.0 inch HyperCrystal II LCD monitor. The µ 7020 series among the multitude of features comes with Magic Filter allowing user to apply a color tone or ambience to an image resulting in a dramatic difference change in color of object in real life. The µ 7020 also features a CCD-shift type image stabilization based on Olympus stabilizing algorithm used in digital SLR cameras as well as high sensitivity shooting performance to eliminate the image blur which usually occurs due to camera shake or subject movement in telescopic shooting. The µ 7020 has a HD 12-megapixel CCD which comes with Olympus original TruePic III image processing engine. Among other features of µ 7020 are AF Tracking, Beauty mode function, Fish-Eye which creates powerful effect of shooting with a fisheye lens, Sketch which can transform the subject and background into a line drawing sketch, Pin Hole, and POP.
The FE-4000 model incorporates a 4x optical zoom lens with a wide-angle of 26mm. The FE-4000 comes with features such as iAUTO (Intelligence Auto) function capable of analyzing the scene in the viewfinder scene and later on automatically optimizing camera settings accordingly ensuring the best picture quality. It comes with same set of feature and functionality as µ 7020 with addition of WEDDING function which adds a delicate feeling to the picture.
The FE-46 features a double-Layered Crystal Shell exterior, coming with 5x optical zoom lens with wide-angle shooting capability, the unit features the same set of functionality as the two previous models. The release date for 3 models is by August 29th but the retail price on the 3 models has not been set yet.

The Live Control icon display on E-P2’s LCD monitor helps with easy and intuitive selection of camera setting as well as Continuous-Tracking AF for easy focusing on moving subjects. The new E-P2 displays an outstanding SLR-class image quality through 4/3-inch, 12.3 megapixel high speed Live MOS Sensor and a newly developed TruePic V image processing engine. Among other features of the E-P2 are high-speed imager AF for reponsive live view shooting, iAUTO for fully automatic shooting mode selection based on scene analysis, live view double exposure function with simultaneous dispaly of current scene and previously captured image, built-in image stabilization mechanism with up to 4 EV corrective effect, Multi-Mix Slide show playback with background music, e-Portrate function for smooth rendering of skin texture, Live View level gauge display and High-precision 324-zone evaluation metering system. There is no suggested retail price on E-P2 camera which is scheduled to be released on early December of 2009.
