Development of UHF-Band RFID tags for Roll containers by Fujitsu
Fujitsu is at it again in RFID tag department by introducing yet another addition to its RFID tag line of products. This time the newly developed UHF-Band RFID tags are targeted to be used for roll containers which according to Fujitsu required a boost in operational management in order to prevent the loss and theft of roll containers. The newly developed RFID tag is expected to replace the commonly used ledger or bar code system which requires each container to be scanned. The new Tags as specifically designed for metal pipe roll containers for easy attachment so the tags can be read even when stacked together approximately 20mm from the container’s metallic surface. The tags can either be read vertically or horizontally. With this flexibility tags of up to ten folded and stacked pallets can be read at one time resulting in increased inspection efficiency. The newly developed tags weigh only 25 grams with dimension of 109mm width x 55mm depth x 18mm height.
