Development of World’s Brightest DLP Cinema Projector by NEC

NEC has unveiled a DLP (Digital Light Processing) projector which company claims is the world’s brightest in its class. The NC2500S has been designed for multiplexes with large screen sizes of up to 30 meter wide. The NC2500S delivers a precise 2k (2048×1080) resolution as well as a high contrast image of 2000:1. The newly developed NC2500S features industry’s first memory function for lens zoom, position/focus and lamp output as well as industry’s first lamp changes from the back of projector according to NEC. The NC2500S also allows user through direct selection buttons for 8 stored projector configurations. The NC2500S can be controlled from an optional touch screen. Furthermore, the built-in web server in NC2500S allows user with basic control from any web browser. The NC2500S has a DLP chip shielding which prevent dust, oil and smoke particles from settling on DLP chip surface. It also comes with self-contained liquid cooling system with no need for external reservoir. The projection method in NC2500S is a 3-chip DLP chip reflection method. The light output on NC2500S is at 26,000 lumens depending on installation conditions and using NEC 6.0Kw lamp bulb NC-LP6001. The NC2500S’s DLP cinema functions are CineLink, CineCanvas, CinePalette, CineBlack. The projector head and lamp power supply unit weighs about 170.5 Kg without the lens.
