Development of 12.1-inch XGA Color TFT-LCD Module by Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi Electric today made an announcement on development of 12.1 inch XGA color TFT LCD module featuring a reduced size and thickness of 10% and 20% respectively in comparison to the previous model. The new AA121XL01 offers a high brightness of up to 1,000 cd/m2 plus a longer backlight life through incorporation of white LED and its inverter-less construction. The minimum backlight lifespan is 60,000 hours at the 25 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the inverter-less construction helps in eliminating any needs high-voltage inverters resulting in lowering the final product cost. The AA121XL01 based on company’s original color conversion technology is capable of displaying a vivid and clear image through adjusting lost colors which arises from LCD due LCD characteristics. The newly developed DIAFINE is targeted for use in POS system such as store or warehouse inventory management and factory processing management as well as portable data terminal capable of interpreting digital pen movements. The new DIAFINE will go on sale from Feb. 1st, 2010 through Mitsubishi’s sale’s site in Japan, Europe, China, Korea and Taiwan. The cost per unit in Japan will be 52,500 yen including all the related consumption taxes. The dimension of the new AA121XL01 DIAFINE is 260.5mm (W) x 203.0mm (H) x 9.7mm (D) and it weighs 610g.
