Sanyo Electric now part of Panasonic Corporation just added yet another product to its eneloop universe product lineups. The eneloop music booster is a rechargeable DC 9V battery unit made for music devices. Normally, an AC adapter or 9V dry-cell battery is used in powering music equipment including effects units, amps, graphic equalizers and multi-track recorders operating using 9-volt DC power source. However, using AC adapters require electrical outlets plus nearby electrical equipment may result in noise interference. Alternatively, using 9V batteries in such occasion like during music performance may result in use of lot of batteries in order to provide an uninterrupted performance.
The newly developed music booster is an answer to this type of short coming when it comes to powering up your music devices by providing a stable and long lasting 9V power source through its high capacity rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Usually, the sound quality is effected by changes in battery voltage, where the new booster maintain a steady voltage right up until the power is exhausted in providing a consistent sound quality for a long period of time. The new booster comes with a LED light which changes in color in three stages from green representing 60% in remaining power to orange representing 30 to 60% in remaining power, to red which is less than 30% in remaining power, enabling the user to view battery level at a glance. The booster also comes with convenience of a switch to turn the power ON and OFF eliminating any needs to turn off each connected music devices separately. Finally, the main unit of the eneloop music booster is water resistance in compliance with JIS IPX3 standard. The eneloop music booster will hit the market no March of 2010 with still undecided manufacturer’s suggested retail price tag.
