SANYO Unveils a New Ultra Short-Focus Projector

Sanyo shor focus projectorWith growing demand in short-focus projector market, especially for such use as in school classrooms and office conference spaces, there are increasing demand from the users for high brightness, easy to maintain along with fuller range of functionalities. In response to this market demand, Sanyo Electric made an announcement on development of new ultra short-focus projector equipped with Sanyo’s proprietary hybrid filter and long-life lamp, while offering a extended periods of maintenance free operation. With improvement in brightness compared to conventional model, the new projector provides large and highly visible images. The new LP-WL2500 features a clear and dependable sound even in a large room all thanks to its high output 10-watt speaker.
The ultra short-focus lens, offers the user the flexibility in setting up the projector for space saving purpose, allowing user to project a large image of 80-inch size from a distance of only 56 cm, ideal in an educational setting where an instructor can show a presentation on the blackboard by setting up the projector on an instructor’s desk at the front of the classroom. The LP-WL2500 through its hybrid filter offers its user an extended filter replacement period of approximately 4,000 hours. Furthermore, the lamp life span has been increased by about 30% for approximately 4,000 hours as well. The new LP-WL2500 offers a high brightness projection of 2,500 lumens. Among some of the feature on this new LP-WL2500 are; wired LAN terminal for controlling and managing the projector over a network, security bar for greatly increasing theft prevention, HDMI terminal for digital input, Top Access Lamp Replacement for added convenience in case of inverted ceiling installation as well as Wide XGA compatibility feature enabling projection input from wide screen devices and sources. The new LP-WL2500 will go on sale on July of 2010 at a price of 260,400 JPY (TAX included). Sanyo is planning for a monthly production of 5,000 units.
