OLYMPUS 2010 Micro Four Thirds System Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera for Novice Photographers
Olympus Imaging Corporation unveiled its 2010 PEN E-PL1 Micro Four Third Systems interchangeable lens digital camera equipped with a new Live Guide interface designed for individual with little experience with photography. Through the new Live Guide user interface, the individual can easily make adjustment on brightness, hue, background defocusing and other image related parameters.
The new PEN E-PL1 comes with new dedicated Movie mode button for access to movie shooting at any time. Furthermore, the new PEN E-PL1 features six Art Filters, including new Gentle Sepia, for enhanced photographic creativity. Among some of the other features on this compact camera are; 4/3-inch, 12.3 megapixel high-speed Live MOS image sensor and TruePic V image processing engine for high quality, SLR-class imaging, i-ENHENCE Picture mode for clear imaging with a heightened snese of realism, In-camera image stabilization which supports various range of lenses, One-touch Enlarge button for easy detail conformation in Live View, Wide-area AF for easy framing and focusing, Multi-exposure function with simultaneous LCD monitor display, Multi-Mix Slideshow playback with background music, e-Portrait function for smooth rendering of skin texture, MF Assist function for manual focusing with auto image magnification, High-precision 324-zone evaluation metering system, continous-tracking AF capble of locking onto subject and tracks movement in the frame and Shadow adjustment Control function capable of balancing exposure of foreground subjects and background scenery to name a few. The new PEN E-PL1 will go on sale on March 5th, 2010 with three choice of colors of White, Champagne Gold and Black. Olympus has yet to release a price tag for PEN E-PL1.
