Development of Industry’s Highest Ion Output Ionizer Module by MURATA
Murata Manufacturing has developed an ionizer module “Ionissimo” as company calls it, capable of achieving industry’s highest ion output. This small ionizer operating on low voltage has been incorporated in “Virus Attacker” a plug-in ionizer manufactured by Japanese company, S.T. Corporation, a chemical manufacturing company specializing in making mothballs, aromatics, moisture absorbent as well as household-use hygiene chemical products.
The ionizer module has been also used in such product as air conditioners as well as air purifiers. The adjustable ozone output provide a easy way of customizing the module for specific applications, extending its application to such area as automotive, production line, home care and nursing to name a few. The module has a ion output of over 500,000/cc according to Murata plus an adjustable ozone output from 0.05mg/H to 0.5.mg/H, with an operating temperature between -10 to 50 degrees Celsius, and operating humidity range of 5% to 95% RH. Murata expected monthly production is at 300,000 units with a sample price of 3,000 JPY per unit. The new module carries a 2 granted patents and 8 pending ones.
