Development of Compact, Efficient Electric Air-conditioning System with Integrated Electrical Compressor for Hybrid Buses by DENSO
Denso has developed a compact, light weight and more efficient air-conditioning system targeted to be used for hybrid buses in Japan. According to Denso, the new air-conditioning system is Japan’s first mass-produced, electric air-conditioning system that has integrated an electric compressor with a built-in inverter.
Denso has successfully reduced the power consumption of the new air-conditioning system by 50%, through use of electrically controlled compressor and the smaller system size. Hino Blue Ribbon City Hybrid will be the first vehicle to use the new air-conditioning system in Japan.
