Release of New Compact Projector for Mobile Applications by NEC
NEC Display Solution of America has added to its line-up of NP Value Series projector, a new compact projector. The new NP115 is designed for mobile applications such as classrooms with portable carts or conference rooms requiring lightweight projector at an affordable price. The NP115 offers a brightness of 2500 lumens, sufficient for most standard size rooms, plus their 3D-ready capability that increases its interactivity. The NP115 is based on Texas Instrument DLP engine, offering a contrast ratio of 2000:1.
The NP115 comes with a powerful 7-watt speaker and built-in closed captioning. With the ECO Mode technology, the lamp life span can be extended for up to 5000 hours while lowing the power consumption to 0.49 watts in standby mode. Among some of the key features on this newly released NP115 are; quick start (3-4 seconds) and shutdown technology, allowing immediate use and power off functionality without any needs for a cooling period, built-in wall color correction present, filter-free design, BrilliantColor technology, comprehensive input panel, power consumption of 242 watts. The company will begin shipping from July 2010 with MSRP of $599.
