Introduction of New Low-Particle-Emission, Low-Torque Ball Bearing by NSK
NSK has developed a new Low-Particle-Emission, Low-Toque Ball Bearings to be implemented in conveyor systems for producing the high performance film used in LCD TV and solar cell applications. The new bearing has been designed to minimize emission of grease particles caused by bearing rotation, while utilizing minimal amount of force for rotation in preventing wrinkling and tearing of the film.
The new bearing has been designed with a thin film grease lubrication technology, ideal for applications requiring low torque and better particle emission performance which is 1/100 that of existing products, furthermore the new bearing features a friction loss that is 60% of existing products. NSK is targeting annual sales of 2 billion JPY by 2012.

[...] NSK has announced development of a hub unit that uses a new type of grease that helps in preventing any significant decline in the service life of the bearings, even when it is exposed to water. A hub unit in automobile is a part that integrates the bearing with the hub on which automobile wheels are mounted. The new grease is water resistance grease that protects the bearing raceway and rolling elements by neutralizing the effects of any water that finds its way in. The water that come in contact with the new grease simply forms into a large bead and it is enveloped in a way that prevents it from direct contact with the surface of rolling elements or raceway. In addition to this the new grease contains an additive which is designed to form a protective film on metallic surfaces, which also preventing water to come into direct contact with the rolling elements or raceway surface. NSK is targeting an annual sales of 2 billion JPY by 2014. // < ![CDATA[ google_ad_client = "pub-6269321203424610"; /* 200x200, created 5/19/09 */ google_ad_slot = "6030618320"; google_ad_width = 200; google_ad_height = 200; // ]]> Share and Enjoy: [...]
