Development of High-Precision Angular Contact Ball Bearings for Machine Tool Application by NSK

NSK has released of small-bore, angular contact ball bearings with seals which has been designed specifically for use in the main spindles of machine tools. The new angular contact ball bearings have an inner diameter of 6 to 25 mm. The new product incorporates specially designed non-contact seals plus a low vibration cage.
The small-bore and angular contact ball bearings make it possible to combine a highly dustproof characteristics and a high speed performance which was up to now only achievable with oil based lubricants. NSK is targeting an annual sales of 400 million JPY by 2011.
