Full-Scale Launch of New Curing Agent for use in UV-curing Resin and Epoxy resin in Paints, coating and adhesives by SDK
Show Denko KK (SDK) has announced the full-scale launch of new functional monomer for paints, coating, and adhesives. In order to achieve the curing of UV-curing resins, the company has increased the amount of polymerization initiators, and in case of epoxy resins, the temperature has been increased. The newly developed Karenz MT™ PE1 the curing rate has substantially been improved, resulting in reduction of the amount of energy required for production and processing as well as improvement in adhesiveness and elongation.
The use of the new Karenz MT™ PE1 during the UV-curing of resins has reduced the amount of UV irradiation and polymerization initiators, restricting coloring of products. The sales of the new products will begin by middle of 2011.
