Release of Back Flip Lock Type FPC Connector by SMK
SMK has developed a back flip lock type FPC, using a 0.5mm pitch, right angle, ZIF structure and a back flip system for opening and closing the cover. The development of the new FPC connector was in response to overcome the difficulty of securing adequate tensile strength in the vertical direction of FPC, a requirement in improving freedom of design and ensuring contact reliability in AV and automotive equipment. The new BF-51 FPC connector resolve this issue by using a structure that directly relieves the load from the cover with its back flip lock. The new FPC has an upper and lower point of contact ensuring secured contact reliability as well as greater wiring freedom within the FPC devices.
The new connector has a height of 1.8mm and it is expected to be used various applications including AV, PC, automobile and office equipment.

[...] SMK has release EN-5D Series of 0.5 mm-pitch shielded FFC connector supporting high speed transmission. N-ZIF structure of this newly introduced EN-5D Series offers a easy insertion of FFC with only one action. Furthermore, the product FFC fall-out prevention mechanism guarantees greater operability and reliability. The new product adapts to high speed serial transmission such as LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) and TMDS (Transition Minimized Differential Signaling) (HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) ). Shielded FFC simplifies the impedance matching, while signal and ground layers are provided in the compatible cable. The connector is covered with a metal shield for improved ground performance (EMI prevention). The application of the new EN-5D Series ranges from AV equipment to automotive equipment as well as office equipment. source // < ![CDATA[ google_ad_client = "pub-6269321203424610"; /* 200x200, created 5/19/09 */ google_ad_slot = "6030618320"; google_ad_width = 200; google_ad_height = 200; // ]]> Share and Enjoy: [...]
