Development of High Performance Shielded Double-Row Angular Contact Ball Bearing for Industrial Water Pumps by NSK
NSK has announced the development of and commercialization of a high performance shielded double-row angular contact ball bearing for industrial water pumps, in response to increasing global demand for water supply and sewage, irrigation, as well as various service water systems. The new Ball bearing offers an improved axial load carrying capacity from 1.1 to 2.8 times with smaller size and longer service life.
The bearing life was improved by from 1.3 to 2.6 times in comparison to commercially available products due to it’s optimal shielded bearing design, resulting in a small bearing capable of providing the same life span as other bearings. In addition to this the new bearing is operable at maximum operating temperature of 150 degrees Celsius by way of high temperature dimensional stabilization.
