Introduction of Highly Efficient Power Inductors with Increased Rated Current by TDK-EPC

TDK-EPC has introduced new power inductors for automotive applications. The new VLM13580-D1 and DR SMD power inductors come with extended operating temperature range of -40 to +150 degrees Celsius as well as increased rated current of 20 A (max.). The new power inductors are ideal for use as chock coils in the DC-DC converters for automotive engine control units (ECU).
The new power inductors come in form factor of 13.0 x 13.5 x 8.0 mm3 (max.).The mass production of the new power inductors is scheduled to begin in October of 2011.
