August 25, 2011 · Filed Under Trendy Products

OKI Semiconductor has release new series of high performance, low power CMOS 8-bit microcontrollers (MCUs). The new MCUs come with OKI’s built-in original 8-bit CPU, the “U8 Core” capable of executing 1 instruction per clock. The new ML610471/ML610472/ML610473 MCUs come with LCD driver, 16bit RC oscillation type A/D converter, timer, general port as program memory, RAM and peripherals. The new MCUs are suited for battery-driven applications through adoption of dual clock system of low speed clock/ high-speed clock, standby mode, as well as current leakage controlling process.
The FLASH version of these MCUs can provide a short product development. The FLASH version can achieve a low voltage operation of 1.25V or above and low power consumption of 0.8 microA (Halt mode type). The FLASH version of MCUs has operating temperature of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius. The applications of the new MCUs include health care products, fitness products, temperature logger and one time password token.
