Development of ICC 4K LCD TV featuring Four times the Resolution of Full HD LCD TVs
Sharp and I-Cube Research Center Inc, has announced a joint development of a prototype of a Sharp and I-Cube Research Center featuring quad high-definition resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels), four times the resolution of current full HD 1080p TV signals. The newly developed prototype will integrate ICC visual creation technology from I-cubed and LCD technology developed by Sharp for AQUOS TVs. The new signaling technology along with panel control technology is capable of producing the “cognitive” process by which human brain interprets light stimuli as natural scenery, providing viewer with a new visual experience.
ICC does not reproduce the electrical signal like the conventional TVs but rather re-creates the light information entering the camera to create a visual space, which results in a viewer experience with a feeling of actually being present in that place.
