Development of a New Ball Bearings resulting in More Compact Automotive Transmissions

NSK has announced the development of a new ultra-long-life ball bearing for automotive transmission system. The new design makes the bearings more compact and lightweight, with less friction, hence contributing to reduction of automotive transmission size and weight and greater fuel efficiency.
NSK has been strengthening the rolling element by optimizing the material composition as well as application of TF technology (NSK proprietary technology) which greatly inhibit the deterioration of surface quality during use resulting in longer service life.
