Release of Compact Power Inductor with High Current Capability by TDK-EPC
TDK-EPC has recently released its ERU 20 series of power inductors featuring a high current capability with inductance value between 1.0 to 35.0 microH. The new series feature a current capability of between 9.3 to 50.0 A, with DC resistance values ranging between 0.62 and 7.0 mhom, making them ideal for high-current, low-voltage DC-DC converters, point-of-load converters (POL) as well as multiphase modules.
The new ERU 20 series are designed based on optimized ferrite cores and flat-wire winding technology, where their low core losses and self supporting winding allows an excellent energy storage density and compact dimensions coming in a form factor of 21 x 21.5 mm2 and an insertion height of between 9.8 to 14.2 mm depending on the type. The new series is RoHS compliant. It application includes power supplies for telecommunications and IT systems as well as inverters for photovoltaic (PV) systems.
