Konica Minolta in a joint development with KOMPRI Corporation has unveiled KM-1, a B2 cut-sheet inkjet press for commercial use. The new KM-1 incorporates Konica Minolta high-res print head, UV ink and unique printing process. KOMORI’s part of this joint development is paper transportation technology, allowing KM-1 with productivity of 3300SPH (Simplex) and 1650SPH (Duplex) at point resolution of 1200 dbi x 1200 dpi resulting in an outstanding image quality only possible with offset prints. Due to use of UV ink, KM-1 can print to regular offset printer such as coated paper, non-coated paper and art papers without any special treatment before and after printing.
The new KM-1 offers superior consistency such as paper feeding registration accuracy, furthermore, the image quality is consistent for both batch to batch, and repeatability both job-over-job and day-over-day.
