Development of UNI-CUB, a Personal Mobility Vehicle by HONDA

Building on the evolution of the U3-X personal mobility device Honda announced back in 2009, Honda has introduced yet another personal mobility device, the UNI-CUB featuring Honda’s proprietary balance control technology plus world’s first omni-direction driving wheel system allowing the rider to control speed , move in any direction, turn and stop, by simply shifting her or his weight. Moving freely in all direction would allow the rider to quickly and easily maneuver among other people.
Furthermore, the compact saddle-style packaging provides an easy way for rider to reach the ground while maintaining eye level height with other pedestrians. The demonstration testing of the new UNI-CUB will begin in June 2012.
