Development of Low Torque Rolling Bearing for High Efficiency Centrifugal Chillers in Large Air conditioning System

NSK has announced the development of a low torque rolling bearing which has been designed for high efficiency centrifugal chillers that are used in large scale air conditioning equipment. In development world’s first rolling bearing solution for high efficiency turbo refrigeration machines, NSK has managed to cut the friction loss by half by using sliding bearings.
The new bearing by reducing the bearing friction loss offers a 20% improvement in energy saving compared to conventional refrigeration machines.
