Development of Fully Digital Portable Speaker and Headphone
Hosiden has announced the development of fully digital portable speaker along with multiple unit speakers and the fully digital headphone with multi coil speakers both with the digital audio signal processing technology “Dnote®” which has been developed by Trigence Semiconductor. The role of the“Dnote®” is to enable speakers with digital signals without converting into analog signals as well as to replacing DA converter or analog amplifier or Class-D amplifier which are part of conventional audio systems. The HD sound source of maximum 24 bit/96 kHz is transmitted directly to the speaker. The new model works without the use of AC adapter which is part of conventional audio product accessible to PC, and only with USB bus power (500mA) and battery (AA battery x 2-4).
The system can be combined with existing radio (Bluetooth, 2.4GHz RF etc.) and digital signal processing technologies (noise cancellation, surround, etc.). Both the Speaker and headphone audio signal and power are supplied through mini USB cable connected to PC, and both work with standard USB Audio Drive of PC without and exclusive driver.
