Development of Low Powered Multi-band Wireless Communication technology by Panasonic
Panasonic has announced the development of a new multi-band wireless communication technology capable of supporting all frequency bands (400 MHz, 900 MHz, 1.2GH and 2.4GHz) within wireless sensor networks. The new technology provides a low powered stable communications between devices with different standards. The new technology has been designed with an aim to accelerate the spread of M2M Sensor Networks that supports cloud-based data exchange without any intervention from human.
The reduced power consumption in this technology has been contributed partly by introduction of more effective demodulation process. The new technology has been instrumental in removal of some inductors on receivers and filters on the transmitters that were previously necessary for each frequency band. Further to this the new technology enables the demodulator with direct frequency detection scheme resulting in circuit size reduction as well power consumption on the receiver side. The new technology will be showcased during M2M Expo 2013 at Tokyo Big Sight from May 8 to 10.
