Kyocera PCAP
Projected Capacitive (PCAP) Touchscreen is widely in use in smartphone as well as tablet applications all due to its sensitivity and reliability as well as multi-touch gestures. It requires only a gentle touch to activate it contrary to hard presses that is required by resistive touchscreens.

The technology is being introduced in industrial applications including medical, manufacturing, avionics, ruggedized PC, test and measurement and marine markets. Based on this need, Kyocera has introduced three new TFT-LCD displays with PCAP screen touchscreen. The company initially would offer sizes in 7.0-inch, 10.4-inch and 12.0-inch models. The touchscreen surface features anti-glare and anti-fingerprint treatment for superior performance with the option of either and I2C or USB touch interface. All the screen will adopt Kyocera’s Advance Wide View (AWV) technology offering 170 degree viewing angles from any direction. All products feature a standard LVDS interface, wide operating temperature range of -30 to 80 degrees Celsius and brightness of 800 cd/m2 or higher for outdoor sunlight readability.
