Panasonic has announced the successful development of a 60GHz multi-gigabit wireless communication technology supporting WiGig specification as well as IEEE802.11ad draft specification. The new multi-gigabit wireless communication technology which is optimized for mobile devices consists of a 60GHz transceiver and a baseband processor that are integrated individually onto a CMOS semiconductor chip via circuit technologies.
