Murata Manufacturing has announced the release of PLT10HH series of SMD-type common mode choke coils. The new common mode choke coils are designed to reduce unwanted radiation noise from automotive power lines. The new products supports up to 10A, making it ideal for suppressing noise in various electrical accessories such as pumps, air conditioning, power steering, brakes and more which are used in EV, HEV and other type of low fuel consumption automobiles. Highly concentrated Plasmacluster Ions are an effective solution in strongly inactivating and eliminating airborne viruses, mold, and allergens (such as mite feces and carcasses), as well as cigarette odors on curtains and sofas, and sweaty odors on clothing. Based on this, Sharp will introduce a Plasmacluster Ion generating unit system that would fit into commercial air conditioning ducts. The new system will use the airflow from a building’s heating and air conditioning system to release a highly concentrated Plasmacluster Ions (7,000 ions/cm3) into a room eliminating any needs to install a separate fan. Development of world’s first passenger vehicle Air conditioning system using ejector technology

Denso Corporation a leading global supplier of advanced technology, system and components made an announcement on development of world’s first passenger vehicle air conditioning system that uses ejector technology. The ejector is a small refrigerant injector contributing to an overall reduction in power consumption. This newly developed system will be installed on the new Prius which was introduced by Toyota this month. The new air conditioning system is capable of reducing the compressor’s power consumption by up to about 25 percent in comparison to the conventional car air conditioning systems resulting in a fuel savings according to the company. Summer is just around the corner especially for those in a congested Tokyo metropolitan area where the temperature during the heat wave can reach over 40 degrees Celsius. Most of us who leave in Tokyo area are familiar with the “HEAT ISLAND” effect which is the result of high concentration of concrete and asphalt and few areas of vegetation and open water. But this is not the only contributing factors to heat island effect, heat from the vehicle exhausts and air conditioning are also contributing factor to this problem.
