Murata Manufacturing has announced the commercialization of industry’s first ceramic capacitors designed for automotive use certified under safety standard in the industry. The newly developed DE6 series type KJ ceramic capacitors are ideally fit for use in the AC line filters of the vehicle-mounted chargers which are found in PHEVs (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) as well as EVs vehicles that need to e charge using the commercial power supplies of 100 to 240 volt and 50 or 60 Hz power line frequency, which are available in Japan and abroad.
