World’s first imaging technology for use in palm vein biometric authentication by Fujitsu

Fujitsu announced the development of world’s first high speed image capture technology for palm vein biometric authentication capable of operating even when the palm is in motion at the speed of 1 meter per second. It will take only one millisecond for this new technology to capture the image providing authentication with the same level of accuracy as previous iteration of this technology. Developed biometric technology by Fujitsu which is based on the patterns of veins in palm has number of advantages which includes enabling high accuracy authentication and measuring a feature that is inside body which is very difficult to falsify. This technology is based on non-contact palm vein authentication system that is called PalmSecure targeted in such application as client authentication system in bank. Read more
