Toshiba announced the launch of Visconti™2 (TMPV7500) series of image recognition processors specifically designed for automotive applications with capability of recognizing lanes, vehicles, pedestrian, traffic signs etc. using camera-based vision systems. The new TMPV7506XBG image processor incorporates company’s image processing accelerators which is ideal for human recognition by being able to detect pedestrians during the day and night.
