Release of High-Power, Low-Ohmic chip Resistors by ROHM
ROHM announced a new addition to company’s LTR series chip resistors with superior junction reliability. ROHM’s offers its thick-film lineup in various range of resistance from 10m ohm to 9.1 ohm. The wide terminal configuration of the newly developed chip resistors offers improvement in joint reliability against thermal fluctuations. In addition to this, the resistive element is situated on the backside (reverse-mount design) which helps in minimizing resistance fluctuations during mounting. Read more
Release of Industry’s Smallest Chip Resistors by ROHM
Rohm has unveiled its new ultra-compact MCR004 series chip resistors featuring a reduced mounting area and volume by 56% and 72% respectively, in comparison to previous series. The compact form factor is an achievement through use of high precision manufacturing equipment which has been developed in-house, resulting in mounting reliability of a resistor. The new MCR004 comes with rated power of 1/32W (0.031W) and a maximum element voltage of 15V, plus an operating temperature of -55 to 125 degrees Celsius. Read more
Release of High-Power Wide Electrode Type Chip resistors for Current Detection by ROHM
ROHM made an announcement on development of high power, high reliability ultra-low ohmic chip resistors which is ideal for current detection in automotive applications. The new PML100 Series. Large current resistors, which are capable of handling up to a few dozen amperes, are typically come in relatively large sizes, such as 6432. However, the large size requires a large mounting area which increases the possibility of solder joint failures due to repeated expansion and contraction caused by thermal stress under severe operating environment such as large temperature changes or high humidity.
