Launch of a New Cloud-Based Digital Music Service by Sony
Sony made an announcement on launch of “Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity™ , the next extension of Video on Demand Powered by Qriocity™, a premium video streaming services, which was debuted in U.S. on April 2010 and expanded later in France. The new service is a new cloud based digital music service allowing music enthusiasts to access about six million songs and more. Through the new “Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity” service the user can play the music on a array of internet-connected Sony devices including Sony’s 2101 models of network-enabled BRAVIA TV, Blu-ray Disc player, Blu-ray Disc Home Theater system, PlayStation3 computer entertainment system and VAIO as well as other PCs. Release of Cloud based Office Printing System by Canon
Canon has announced the introduction of Scan and Print for imageRUNNER ADVANCE, a free of charge application which allows the Canon imageRunner ADVANCE multifunction office system to directly access cloud services form the device without any needs for a PC. The new system is based on MEAP (Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform) technology which allows the user to scan paper based documents and directly store the scanned data on a cloud service without a PC. The stored data can then be accessed by a PC, handheld device or smart phone, and simultaneously share the data among multiple users regardless of location. Read more
