Industry’s First Solvent-Based Fluorescent Inks for Wide Format Inkjet Printers

Seiko Instrument Infotech Inc. (SIIT), for the first time in the world has launched two new neon inks for its ColorPainter W series printers. The new inks will expand the application of the printer into night graphics, or blacklight graphics in the night clubs, casinos, laser tag facilities, bowling alleys, arcades to name a few. The neon inks are available in two colors, Neon Yellow and Neon Pink, which are used along with the ColorPainter GX ink set. Neon inks can be printed as “Spot colors” as well as traditional CMYK “Process color”. Mixing the two neon colors with other colors also gives fluorescent effect to the other colors, creating a wide range of interesting and unique colors. Read more
