Japan First Android Based Smartphone compatible with Both PHS and 3G Networks

Kyocera has announced the release of DIGNO, Japan’s first Android based smartphone which is compatible with both PHS and 3G networks. The newly released dual network smartphone will be available on the WILLCOM service network. The DIGNO DUAL provides clear voice quality of PHS network while achieving ultra-speed data transfer of up to 21 Mbps under the 3G network. The new water-resistant smartphone features a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU capable of supporting multiple applications. Furthermore, the new smartphone is compatible with One-Seg television reception as well as infrared data communication. In addition to this, the smartphones display is made of high-strength glass which is highly scratch resistant, with clean-clear-coast surface for easy cleaning. It features a 5 magapixel CMOS auto-focus main camera and front-facing 0.3 megapixel CMOS sub camera, as well as high quality video capability. The new smartphone comes in 64x130x10.7mm form factor. It comes with internal memory of 1 GB RAM, 2GB ROM and microSD/microSDHC memory card of up to 32GB.
