Introduction of Highly Efficient Power Semiconductor for DDR type SDRAM, FPGAs by Renesas Electronics
Renesas Electronics has announced the release of a power semiconductor device which is designed for use as a dedicated power supply for DDR type SDRAM memory and large scale logic devices such as FPGAs used in PCs, servers and printers. The newly developed R2J20751NP is industry’s first POL converter with a 25 A maximum rating, which integrate MOSFETs and power supply controller in one single package helping system designers to realize power supply systems that are compact and energy efficient. Development of AC/DC Power Supply Secondary-Side Simultaneous Rectifier Control IC by MITSUMI
Mitsumi has successfully developed a simultaneous rectifier control IC for flyback AC/DC power supply. The new MM3473 Series can be used to reduce the losses in the secondary side rectifier device in quasi-resonance-type AC/DC power supplies. Among some of the feature of the new control IC is the simultaneous rectification is controlled using secondary side detection signal alone, prevention of erroneous operation due to ringing can be prevented by adjusting minimum on time, prevention of reverse current due to sudden short switching on the primary side using a function for estimating/monitoring the primary-side on time.
