The two major contributors to rapid growth of eReader market, Seiko Epson and E-Ink made a joint announcement on development of new Electronic Paper Display (EPD) controller chip with a built-in color processor. The controller has been designed for E-Ink’s Vizplex TM-enabled electronic color paper displays. Sanyo Denki has released a controller, expanding company’s lineup of the “SANMOTION C” controller for use with robots, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and general industrial machinery in factory automation through introduction of a high-speed field-bus EtherCAT interface and increasing CPU processing capabilities.
