Development of Mega Power Dual IGBT for Large Capacity PV and Wind Power Generation System
Mitsubishi Electric has announced the development of 6th generation Mega Power Dual (MPD) Series of three insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) module. The new modules will be ideal for use in power converters in large capacity photovoltaic (PV) and wind power generation systems. The new MPDs will also be suitable for high power applications in large capacity inverters as well as uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems in industrial equipment. The new modules’ carrier-stored trench-gate bipolar transistor (CSTBT) helps to reduce collector-emitter saturation voltage by around 15% compared to existing IGBT modules. Read more
Release of High-Output Intelligent Power Modules for Servo and Inverter Systems
Mitsubishi Electric has announced release of a new intelligent power module (IPM) V1 Series for 37KW-class servo systems and 75kw-class inverter systems. The new V1 Series IPMs are single packages consist of multiple chips, including power chips using insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) and their driving circuits, and various protection circuits. Launch of a New Transfer Molded Power Module for Hybrid and EV Application by Mitsubishi Electric
Mitsubishi Electric has announced the launch of a new transfer molded power module (T-PM) that is mainly designed for hybrid and electric vehicle applications. Transfer molding is a pressure molding method where heated and pressurized resin is poured into a metal mold and enclosed, enabling manufacturer to make multiple molds simultaneously. Read more
Development of High Output Intelligent Power Modules by Mitsubishi Electric
Mitsubishi Electric has made announcement on launch of V1 Series, high output intelligent power modules (IPM), and targeted to be used in motors for controlling industrial machinery. The V1 Series comes with a low power loss along with its compact package for inverters with volume of 37 kilowatts or greater and servo systems with volumes of 15kW or greater. The IPM is a combination of several chips in one package which includes power chips using IGBTs and their driving circuits, as well as various protection circuits.
