Introducing a Highly Efficient Direct-Injection Gasoline Engine by MAZDA MOTOR
Mazda Motor Company has announced the development of SKYACTIVE-G 1.3, a 1.3-liter direct-injection gasoline engine. The newly developed SKYACTIVE-G 1.3 achieves high compression ratio of 14.0:1 and high efficiency especially under high load at low rpm. The SKYACTIVE-G 1.3 features number of new technologies such as piston cavities which are specially designed combustion, and multi-hole injectors capable of precise fuel injection control. Read more
Development of Continuously Variable Transmission by YAMAHA
Yamaha Motor showcased its new Y.C.A.T. otherwise known for Yamaha Compact Automatic Transmission technology during the 41st Tokyo Motor Show. The newly developed continuously variable transmission (CVT) is ideal for moped type motorcycle of 100 to 125cc class due to its compactness. The CVT units will fit the drive belt which connects the engine drive shaft and rear wheel axel inside the engine assembly resulting in an automatic transmission motorcycle with the same exterior appearance as a moped.
