FDK Corporation a leading global electronic component and battery manufacturer has introduced three new non-isolated, point-of-load (POL), dc-dc converters expanding its DK Series. These very small, low profile surface mount devices deliver are capable of delivering up to 6 Amp of output current at power density of up to 860 watts/cubic inch, with efficiencies of up to 93%. Operating form a 5.6Vdc to 14.0Vdc input bus along with a tightly regulated programmable output voltage of 0.8Vdc to 6.6Vdc, the new converters incorporate an output voltage tracking function. A joint development effort by OKI Power Tech an OKI group company involve in development and manufacturing of power supply units and JFE Electrical & Control Systems resulted in industry’s first photovoltaic power conditioner.
