Development of New Compact Coupler Complaint with New TransferJet Wireless System by Hitachi Cable
Sony has developed and promoting TransferJet as a short range and high speed wireless transfer technology. The TransferJet system uses a coupler, a transmitting/receiving antenna based on inductive electric wave, instead of an ordinary antenna using the radiated electromagnetic wave, providing advantages of high speeds wireless transfer capability comparable to UWB (Ultra Wide Band) system, along with simplicity of the NFC (Near-Field Communication ) system which has been adopted by Felica, enabling user to transfer data at a rate of up to 560 Mbps by simply bringing two devices with mounted couplers within 3 cm of each other. Your IC CREDIT CARD has gone GREEN Tech
It is hard to believe but there are tones of technology goes into making your IC credit card which we take for granted. Well, this new joint announcement by Dai Nippon Printing, Mitsubishi Plastic and Sony take it an inch further by unveiling the world’s first IC credit card using a form of bio based polymer PLA (Polylactic Acid) as its primary material. The newly developed bio tech card has got its approval for usage from MasterCard Worldwide. The newly developed biobased polymer card is capable withstanding manufacturing processes such as the embedding of magmatic stripes and embossing, while at the same time providing durability over repeated use which up to now has represented a long term challenge. Sony’s new W5 and F5 BRAVIA LCD TV series
Sony just made an announcement of its new line up of BRAVIA LCD TV the W5 and F5 series. The real big difference between W5 and F5 series beside some choices on LCD panel size is the W5 dual digital TV tuner and F5 single digital TV tuner feature. The W5 series comes in 3 models the 52, 46 and 40 inch size LCD panel where as the F5 series comes in 46, 40 and 32 inch size LCD panel. Read more

Sony this month unveiled its FeliCa based external USB IC card reader/writer “PaSoRi RC-S330” for PC. “PaSoRi RC-S330” is equipped with short distance wireless communication standard” Near Field Communication (NFC)” function that uses the frequency range of 13.56MHz make it possible to be used for public authentication.
