Development of Low Power SoCs for Next Generation Car Navigation System Supporting Advance HMI by Renesas
Renesas Electronics has announced the first release of low power R-Car series of system-on- chip (SoCs), designed for next generation dashboard mounted car navigation systems. The new R-Car M1 series support advanced human machine interface (HMI). The new R-Car M1 series has a dedicated circuitry for intelligent multimedia processing that saves around 92% of power in HD video decoding, dedicated power supply IC for use in a voltage regulator that also reduces power consumption by around 20%, POWERVR® SGX graphics core for enhancing 3D rendering performance.
