ROHM released its new ECOMOS RMW series of high efficiency, low power consumption MOSFETs that are optimized to be used in high performance DC/DC power supply circuits. Sony RGB laser light source moduleSony just made an announcement on development of RGB laser light source module which is ideal for large screen projectors like digital cinema projectors. The newly developed RGB laser module features a high power laser of the three primary colors namely Red, Green and Blue with a combined output power of 21W, equivalent to 5,000 lumens, all in a single package measuring just 530cc, making it among the industry’s smallest. The new RGB laser module utilizes semiconductor diodes for the red and blue lasers plus a compact, high power solid-sate SHG (Second Harmonic Generation) laser for the green developed internally by Sony. The three lasers produced output power of 10W, 6W and 5W for red, green and blue respectively, resulting in a total output power of 21W. The energy conversion ratios of the lasers range from 15 to 22% (18% on average) a high efficiency for power visible lasers. Read more
